I guess it could be worse...

Ever have one of those days...or series of days... where everything that comes out of your mouth isn't really worth saying or sounds just wrong or is totally misunderstood .... or even worse, you regret?

No?

You are so lucky.

I am in that hideous rut, and I feel like this...

yes, this poor thing has appeared on the blog before

Except not in a bright color and not even remotely as energetic.

And I think I'm making people cringe instead of laugh.

I wonder how long I need to watch this chicken dance before this dark cloud is lifted? Or maybe he's making things worse...

  1. Yep. I've been having a lot of those lately. Sometimes for a few days in a row, if not it's like every 3rd day or so. It usually gets more frequent when the days are shorter. Sorry. I'll join your pity party.

  3. I had my pity party last month and none of the cool kids like you were available yet...I wish I had waited! I recommend a moderate amount of dark chocolate.

  4. I can totally relate! Sometimes for me stocking the cupboards with cereal and just knowing that it will pass (because it always passes) gets me through!

Sorry that you are having a difficult time...hoping you feel better soon!

  6. I go through times where I'm silent at work, especially in meetings. I think a lot about what is said, and how much of it is total nonsense. Freeing yourself of the need or desire to speak up makes meetings less stressful. Even when asked to participate, I'll try to think of how to say it in the fewest number of words possible.

  8. Not good, but days like this happen. Just remember character is built not when things are easy but when things are hard. Just stay focused and on plan.

Or you could go out and break stuff.

  9. Boo....OK-this sucks. I've been there as has most everyone at some point and it's not a happy place to be....Thinking of you. Wish I could walk down the road and bring you a hotdish or something. Maybe some meatloaf or goose jerky. Hoping the cloud lifts soon:)

  19. Be patient with yourself and remember you are amazing! We all go through rough weeks but once we start being thankful for all we have and are and realize our great worth we can slide out of it. You are a wife, a mother, a runner, a friend, an inspiration to so many and much much more! You'll be back to being and feeling like yourself in no time, I know it!
