Recycle Repurpose Reuse (do-it-yourself Dudeband™)... and BIC Bands winner!

The winner of the BIC Bands sparkly headband giveaway is...

#20... Corrina Beana!!!  as chosen by the random number generator on random.org

I learned yesterday that simultaneously, there was a rival giveaway going on... for The DUDEBAND™. Ending one minute earlier than mine, the Dudeband™ claims it never loses.

I'm here to tell you that while the Dudeband™ is cutting edge, missing that giveaway is no cause for tears or disappointment because they are really easy to make on your own. Simply grab an old t-shirt and a pair of scissors and watch this video tutorial...

As you can see, there is really no reason to be upset if you were a loser in either of these giveaways... because we can all be winners! Plain OR fancy...you can have both... and on a budget :)

If you're super duper lucky and quick to leave a comment, I'm giving away 8 XLBands (called that because I made them...but they are every bit as good as the Dudeband™) to the first 8 commenters who state they would like one. I have 4 white, 2 black and 2 greenish-brownish weird color. Pay attention to what's been spoken for when leaving your comment. And if you'd like custom sparkle added, that's free, too...just let me know you want it. I can create a design especially for you, or you can specify what you'd like. In case you need some help deciding how to glam up your XLBand, names are popular, as are hearts. Or might I suggest going with...

And if you really, really want the hat... I may be willing to part with it.

  1. Love the video! Unfortunately I have already gotten rid of all my boys little briefs since they are 9&11. So sad:(

  2. I don't know if you've noticed the "TM" next to each instance of "Dudeband" in all of my marketing and promotional materials. Let's put it this way, it's not because I have shaky hands and am thus hitting "Opt + @" by accident.

You'll be hearing from my lawyers.

  3. holy patrick! it was a simple joke. At least she linked your product. If you were just cool about it people probably would've liked your company. Not now.

ANyway I loved the vid and the DIY projects :) I don't think his lawyers can do anything.

  4. wow, is no one actually asking for any of the XLbands? Because, sure i'd take a black one! =) Your ventilated hat is cracking me up. I have a sweet lil boy who would probably LOVE for me to walk around with his undies on my head...too bad his are all boring white. Yeah, cuz that's the reason i won't be wearing one...it's not at all because i'd be embarrassed by the lil Fruit of the Loom logo around my head... Speaking of reusing, recycling, i know of 2 cute scarf-making ideas from old tshirts. My sis taught me but she found 'em off the internet somewhere. The cutest one is just cut 4 circles (by tracing a paper plate) out of a tshirt and then cut into those circles and keep cutting around and around like a spiral. Open 'em up, put around your neck, then tie a little piece of fabric in the front, maybe about chest-high and a lil piece at the back of the neck to help it stay, and they are just so pretty! runner_girl5k at yahoo dot com

  5. Wow! Love the XLBands, I'd love to have a custom one!! Much cooler than the Dudebands(TM!!) And you are far cooler than Patrick who obviously has no sense of humor and should pull some rundies down over his stupid stick in the mud head!! Great post and video, lots of fun!

  6. Since I just got a super cool Turtle Fur band in the mail, I'll pass on the knock off Dudeband. Way funny though! And the rundihat almost made me spit on the screen.

  11. Love the video! Specially the beginning when you can't help giggling when you say the dude band was originally designed for bald guys :-) and the end when you can't help but crack up putting stick on rhinestones and kids underwear on your head :-)

A Superman or Spider man rundie is a pretty good idea too. Better trademark it before Patrick "reverse engineers" it :-).

  15. You are hilarious. I love that you couldn't keep a straight face through the end. I think I'm too slow to get my very own XLBand, but if anyone flakes, I'm in.

I got my Jingle Bell Hell giddier bag the other day. You are so awesome. Thank you. It was all my favorites.
