Why today doesn't suck...

Aside from my kids' incessant bickering and my husband being gone, I am pretty excited about today... and here's why...

new shoes!
just came in the mail, and I can't wait to test 'em out :)

and...

this mess...

which turned into these...
showing you my pile of dirty pans to dispel any concerns that I am becoming Martha Stewart
which you might think if you only saw this picture...
or this one...

gluten-free chocolate chip scones!
just came out of the oven, and I can't wait to test 'em out :)

and this...

a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
blue sky, perfect temp... and I can't wait to test it out :)

Wishing for all of you a day that doesn't suck :)

What's on your agenda?

  2. Definitely looks like some "tests" that you are guaranteed to pass! Best of luck! My day doesn't suck even though it has been cold, drizzly/sprinkling and cloudy - dimming my hope of getting out for a long bike ride. I'm chilling listening to some music that makes me smile and catching up on some blog reading. Lots of great RR's from last weekend.

  9. neat-O shoes! (and I don't even run)

Are those berries or chocolate chips in those scones?

Either way makes for a great day!!

(And now I finally figured out how to keep up with blogs and blogging on the ipad!)

  10. Do you have issues with wheat or just think gluten free is too trendy to ignore? Either answer is satisfactory given your proximity to Berkeley.

Since I was standing in line about 9 1/2 of the 10 hours I was at DL today, I had time to think about stuff. Like gluten free vegan zombies. Do you think the more traditional flesh and guts eating zombies would hate on the "weird people lover" zombies that hang out near UC Santa Cruz?

Ive heard a lot of goid things about Saucony, hope they kick major ass for you think gluten free is too trendy to ignore? Either answer is satisfactory given your proximity to Berkeley.

  11. Those look like Saucony Kinavara's! I've heard so much about those shoes, and Chris K swears by them - so they must be good! I have a neutral foot, so maybe I could try that shoe out!

  12. Love getting new shoes! The scones look delicious.

My agenda for today is rest and recovery after running a half yesterday a.m. and a 5K trail race last night.

Happily my days lately have been far from sucking!

Please help me spread the word about Fitness Friday and include the blog hop button in your post or on your sidebar. Thanks!

  17. So nice. I always hate to tell people when they are always a bright spot in my day for fear they will forever feel an obligation to be chipper and happy, but truly, you always make me smile. I just got new tennis shoes too! I am pretty sure just getting them helped me lose 10 pounds! Thankfully that buys me another couple weeks before I actually have to use them for exercise. Phew!
