Vecchio Venerdì... rockin' the bump

I have seen this linky going around and just couldn't resist.

I loved being pregnant.

Mostly.

I think there is very little on this earth or in this life that is more fascinating than growing a whole person inside of your own body...
sorry, guys, you are just missing out on the magic.

So here are four of my Biggest Bellies Ever...

in chronological order...

(the top two are cropped so you can't see my nipples)

February 2002...
Baby X
eight weeks before she was born

March 5, 2005...
Q-Man
thirty-six hours before he was born

March 6, 2005...
Q-Man
ten hours before he was born

Valentines Day, 2009...
Miss C
two and a half weeks before she was born

I never did get a good belly shot of Big G... I was sort of overwhelmed with my first pregnancy and didn't grasp how cool it would be. Each time, I gained over 40 pounds even though I approached food and exercise completely differently. And each time, I lost it all... the first time it took 2 years, and the fourth time it took 8 weeks.

  2. It is amazing isn't it? 2.5 weeks after giving birth, and I already look so different! I look at Julian and cannot believe he was inside me less than three weeks ago!

  16. Beautiful!! It's so much fun to check out all the momma's pics. I hated being pregnant, but I'm so glad I documented it anyway. The photos really are precious. :)

  17. Your belly must have had make up artists, because it's entirely too smooth and blemish free to have had a litter, as you "claim" to have had. ;-) Admit it! Stunt belly???

I'm so completely fascinated by the alien-like concept of a big pregnant belly. George and I were talking about adoption over pregnancy the other day, and although I'd like to do both, I can't imagine not knowing if pregnancy feels as alien as I think it might.

  19. Cropped!? Hrmph.

There is something special about a pregnant mom. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it is there for sure.
